Functional orthodontics for children involves restoring proper functions.

It is the power of proper breathing. This is the power of proper chewing. This is the power of proper swallowing. It’s the power of good posture. Prevention of malocclusion and posture defects ensures the proper development of your child. Straight teeth mean straight backs and vice versa, straight backs mean straight teeth.

We have epidemics of malocclusions and epidemics of posture defects. An appeal to parents to watch their children.

How your child breathes, how he sits, how he chews and how he swallows!

If you are concerned about anything, consult a specialist.

Practicing chewing, practicing swallowing, practicing proper breathing and practicing good posture contribute to the proper development of your child.

Rehabilitation of the masticatory system – proper chewing. Please eliminate or limit soft and mushy foods from your diet. Limiting eating crisps with milk. When eating, make sure your child does not drink. We drink before or after a meal. 2-3 times a week I ask the child to eat a piece of bread.

What prevention should be used so that the child breathes through the nose and not through the mouth. If there are no structural obstructions (overgrown tonsils), mouth breathing can be a long-term chronic habit. We recommend exercises to strengthen your muscles.

I always think it’s better to encourage cooperation than to do something forced.

DEARS, taping your mouth shut is not enough.

    WE ARE EXERCISING!

    LIP EXERCISES with button

    How to work with buttons:

    • We thread the thread onto a clean button, place the button between the teeth and lips, the child or the parent (in turns) lightly pull the thread sticking out of the mouth. The child’s task is to prevent the button from falling out of the mouth (we perform the exercise lightly, to make the task more difficult we gradually reduce the diameter of the buttons. This exercise also reduces excessive tension, e.g. of the mentalis muscle. We can diversify the fun by introducing an element of competition, which additionally motivates to work and we can collect points.

    Other exercise examples:

    •  mouth popping,
    •  blowing soap bubbles,
    •  blowing balloons,
    •  blowing up a beach ball.

    Simple things are the hardest!

I invite you to watch simplebreathing exercises!

Blowing through a straw is a simple and fun way to practice.

Prevention for children – developing healthy habits

Prevention of malocclusions, speech defects and posture defects.

In the 21st century, we have an epidemic of malocclusion, speech and posture defects.

The POWER of proper chewing and breathing means dental rehabilitation and the proper development of your child. It’s health at your fingertips. Prevention is better than the best treatment.

Developing good habits is the goal of functional orthodontics!

Health is a game of strategy – start small and basic.

Eating and breathing properly has great POWER‼️

    What is dental rehabilitation?

This is the rehabilitation of the masticatory system, which is biomechanically correlated with body posture. Thanks to this, not only the child’s facial skeleton can develop properly, but also the entire little person.

What is dental rehabilitation for children?

Dental rehabilitation for childrenis about restoring proper function so that your child can develop properly.

We can always straighten our teeth, but we can only control the growth of the facial skeleton and improve the growth pattern during the child’s growth period.

    What is functional orthodontics?

Teeth are crooked because something is crooked! Restoring proper function is a stable treatment effect and your child’s health.

Functional orthodontics is the modeling of a child’s face.

    Is your child:

    • breathes through mouth
    • grits teeth
    • grinds teeth
    • has a headache
    • has incorrect body posture, slouches
    • eats with her mouth open
    • has knee valgus
    • has flat-valgus feet
    • has incorrect tongue position

You want the treatment effect to be stable – it is worth restoring proper function.

You are the one who can influence the proper development of your baby.

Mouth breathing is a dysfunction that can disfigure a small child’s face.

A baby’s jaw clenching can also distort the baby’s face.

    Don’t wait, react!

    Together we can do more!

Exercises that help with concentration, calm and precision:

We have an epidemic of malocclusion in babies. Functional orthodontics is the prevention of malocclusion and posture defects in children.
Functional orthodontics is the restoration of proper functions.
    • This is proper breathing
    • That’s proper chewing
    • That’s correct swallowing
    • This is the correct attitude
    • This is the child’s proper development
    • This is the prevention of malocclusion and posture defects
Orthodontics is a field of dentistry that deals mainly with the diagnosis and treatment of malocclusions.
However, teeth are only the recipient of the problem, not the sender, so it is important to find the cause of the problem.
If the teeth are crooked, it means that something caused them to become crooked.
It is worth recognizing functional abnormalities in advance that lead to occlusal disharmony and cause malocclusion. Some of the problems appear already in childhood and it is worth introducing prevention of malocclusion in children.
The power of good habits, i.e. breathing through the nose, eating with the mouth closed and sitting up straight, is important for the child’s health and development. Whoever controls it, controls their health.
We all breathe and eat, we think we do it well. ️Unfortunately, our children are breathing, sitting and eating incorrectly more and more often. ️Proper breathing means an active nose and closed mouth. Tongue stuck to the palate. Correct breathing pays off because when a child breathes through the nose, his development is normal. ️When breathing is incorrect, the baby’s jaw and dental arches may be distorted. Which leads to increased bone malocclusion and posture defects.
An appeal to parents to watch their children.
Pay attention – how your child breathes, how he sits, how he chews and how he swallows!
If you are concerned about anything, consult a specialist.
We invite children aged 4-5 for consultations.
